Tiruvenkaadu (Budhan)

Tiruvenkaadu (Budhan) – near Mayiladuthurai is reffered to as Aadi Chidambaram and it bears shrines to Nataraja, Aghoramurthy and is reffered to as the Budhastalam in the scheme of the Navagraha temples (51 Km). The presiding deity is Lord Shiva as Swedharanyeshwarar and Goddess Parvati as Brahma Vidya Nayaki Ambal Brahmavidyanayaki). A unique feature about Swetharanyeswarar Temple is that the image of Lord Shiva has five faces, Easanam, Tatpurusham, Aghoram, Vamadevam and Sadyojatam.
